Tuxedo Mask's identity is Mamoru Chiba. Mamoru means "protect". A very fitting name. ^_^ Mamoru is very kind, considerate, intellegent, and is one of the more mature characters. His parents were killed in a car accident when he was young. At first, Mamoru and Usagi would get on each other's nerves anytime they were together. However, after they discovered their past... their love for each other was reborn. Now, they are everyone's favorite couple. ^_^ |  | Mamoru is always there for Usagi, and he would do anything to keep her safe. He loves her for who she is, and for the most part, doesn't seem to mind Usagi's childish side. It also seems that the villains enjoy taking him from Usagi, or just taking him for themself. ^_^;; In the future, Mamoru becomes King Endymion, king of Crystal Tokyo. |  |
The mysterious masked man who always saves Sailormoon. Tuxedo Mask always arrives just when the Sailors need it most. And of course, he has those famous entrances... always making a strange short speech before telling Sailormoon to finish off the enemy. ^_^ In the beginning, Tuxedo Mask was filled with mystery... no one was sure if he was an ally or a foe. Now, of course he works beside Sailormoon and the senshi. |  |
 | Tuxedo Mask's attack is throwing roses. But don't be fooled! These roses are sharp, often wounding the enemy's hand or whatever he aimed at. Most of the time, he uses a single rose... but he has been known to throw as many as necessary to get the job done. Tuxedo Mask also has a stick which he can extend & fight with. It's not used nearly as much as his roses, but he uses it fairly often. | |
In the beginning, Tuxedo Mask didn't understand his identity. He felt that he needed to find the Silver Crystal to uncover the past. And what a past it was! Once the crystal was found, it was discovered that he and Sailormoon were lovers from a past era. Tuxedo Mask had been prince of the Earth, Prince Endymion. |  |
 | During the R season, his memory was erased once again... but his spirit desired to protect Sailormoon so much, that it created a new persona, the Moonlight Knight. The Moonlight Knight had the same intentions and actions as Tuxedo Mask... except he was dressed like an Arabian knight, threw white roses, and had a sword instead of a stick. Once his memory was restored, he became Tuxedo Mask again as before. |
