Ami Mizuno (Ah-mee Mee-zoo-noh) is the senshi Sailormercury. Her family name contains the Japanese charcter for water, "mizu". She attends the same school as Usagi and Makoto, Juuban Junior High School. In the Sailor Stars season, Ami attends Juuban High School with Usagi, Makoto and Minako. She is a sweet and caring person. She is always there when her friends need her. Ami may be quiet and a little shy, but if something is wrong, she will stand up and protect her friends (even when she can't transform into Sailormercury). |  |
In Sailor Stars episode 177, her teacher was turned into an enemy. Ami did not want to attack her teacher, so she did not transform. Sailor Star Maker appeared and attacked the teacher, but Ami pushed the teacher out of the way. She argued with Sailor Star Maker not to hurt her teacher that she respected. | Despite these things, Ami is best known for her amazing knowledge and high I.Q. She is almost always studying to keep herself at the top of her class. She has set her goals high, as she plans on becoming a doctor like her mother. She had the opportunity to study in Germany, but decided to stay where she was needed as a senshi. | Even with all this, Ami is not conceited or arrogant. In fact, she was quite down on herself in episode 97, SailorMoon S. She was afraid that she was just about studying, until her friends convinced her that she was much more. In that episode, Sailormoon labeled Ami "my very, very important friend." |
Sailormercury was the second Sailor Senshi to appear. In episode 8 we discover that a new transfer student, Ami Mizuno, has placed top score on an exam at Usagi's school. Luna learns that there might be a new youma. She feels a strange energy from Ami. When Ami drops a disk, Luna brings Usagi to find out what is on it. They discover an enemy program. Usagi disguises herself and the two go into Ami's cram school, only to discover that the teacher is the enemy. As the teacher presses Ami's head against a computer, the sign of Mercury appears on her forehead. Luna realizes that her energy was not evil, but that of another Sailor Senshi, Sailor Mercury. She gives Ami a transformation pen and Sailor Mercury is reborn. |
 | Sailormercury is the only senshi to have a special visor that enables her to analize a situation and find the best solution. She also has a mini computer that she carries with her to analyze data. Sailormercury is a very loyal Sailor Senshi. She will fight to protect what she cares about. |
