Setsuna Meioh

While on Earth, Sailorpluto takes the form of Setsuna Meioh (Seh-tsoo-nah Meh-ee-oh). Her last name sounds the same as the Japanese word for the planet Pluto. Setsuna is a fairly mysterious character. She doesn't appear that often, and when she does, it's usually because there is a problem. Her age is not known, however she appears to be older than the other senshi.

Although her serious position as a senshi often makes her appear less than compassionate, Setsuna really is a kind person. She also has a great love for Chibi Usa. In the manga, she helped care for baby Hotaru along with Michiru & Haruka.

Super Sailorpluto

The mysterious & beautiful Sailorpluto was the first of the outer senshi introduced. She appeared in episode 75, guiding the senshi into Chibi Usa's dream to save her. Sailorpluto is seen once again in episode 82, and it is learned that she is the guardian to the door of time. Pluto is thought of as being very mysterious... when she appears, you know there must be a serious problem.

When there is not a serious problem, Pluto stands guard as the keeper of the time gate. Through its gates, a traveler may go anywhere in the future or past. Since this is such a tremendous duty, she will not leave her post unless there is something terribly wrong and she is needed. Because of this, she is not seen as often as the other senshi.

Dead Scream Attack

Pluto has one main attack, the Dead Scream. This attack is magnificent to see, if only because it takes her so little effort. Instead of shouting, she very calmly (yet determinedly) speaks the words "Dead Scream." Once she becomes Super Sailorpluto, this attack is even more powerful.

Sailorpluto is very powerful. She not only has a normal attack like the rest, but as the keeper of the time gate, she has special abilities that the others do not. These special powers are not to be used, however. One is the Dark Dome Close, which can close the tunnel of time. Another of her "taboo" powers is to stop time. However, in the S season, she does use this to save Neptune, Uranus, and herself.

Pluto always carries her key-shaped staff with her. In the S season, it is learned that the top of the staff holds one of three talismen, the Garnet Orb.
