A new villain has come to town, the Dead Moon Circus. They are attacking people with beautiful dreams, looking for the Pegasus. Little do they know, he's in the dreams of our favorite little girl! Sailor Chibimoon can call upon Pegasus, and he gives her and Sailormoon the power to transform into Super Sailormoon and Super Chibimoon. Soon they have new transformations and can transform directly into their super forms!The group of villians from the Dead Moon Circus that go after Pegasus is called the Amazon Trio. They take their orders from Zirconia. Following the same pattern as the other seasons, the Amazon Trio will attack victims with beautiful dreams in order to try and find the one with Pegasus. During the middle of the season, all the inner senshi are given their super form! They each discover their new super power in later episodes.
The Amazon Trio continually fail, and they are replaced by the Amazoness Quartet around half way through the season. They use their own style to steal the dream mirrors out of their victims. We begin learning that Zirconia is under the leadership of Queen Nehelenia, a woman sealed in a mirror. She wants to be released, and needs the power of the golden crystal that Pegasus has.
The location of Pegasus is discovered, and Chibimoon is taken! The senshi go to fight the Dead Moon Circus for Chibimoon. They face different obstacles, which they overcome along the way. Meanwhile, Chibimoon is tied in a web-like substance. Not wanting Chibimoon to be harmed, Pegasus reveals himself to Nehelenia in his true form, which is that of a boy named Elios. She takes the golden crystal from him. She then puts Chibimoon in a sleep.
Back with the senshi, they convince the Amazoness Quartet to deny the evil powers that were given to them. They smash the source of their power, their individual colored magical balls. Nehelenia releases herself with the crystal, and Zirconia is destroyed.
The senshi are off to get to Chibimoon. They find Nehelenia, who laughs at them. She says that they can not defeat her now that she has the golden crystal. The senshi attack, but it's no use. Elios appears and awakens Chibimoon from her sleep with a kiss. While this is going on, the Amazoness Quartet pulls a switch on Nehelenia, and give her a pineapple in replace of the golden crystal. The golden crystal is given to Sailormoon. Chibimoon calls to the people of Earth to use the power of their beautiful dreams and the golden crystal is activated. Most of the Dead Moon Circus is destroyed, and Nehelenia takes off with Chibimoon (who is out cold again).
Sailormoon grabs onto the remains of the circus as it floated away. She follows Nehelenia until they reach the top area. Nehelenia is furious at Sailormoon, saying that now she would have to be ugly. She begins attacking Sailormoon, but then she stopped. She said Sailormoon took the most important thing away from her, so now she would let Sailormoon know what it felt like. She takes Chibimoon and throws her off the edge!! Sailormoon is in shock at first, but then says that she won't lose her, and jumps after her!!
Nehelenia thinks it was a stupid move. Nehelenia then decides to go back into her mirror where she can be beautiful forever, even though she will be alone. As Sailormoon falls, she turns into Princess Serenity. She slowly catches up with Chibimoon. Once she reaches her, she pleads with Chibimoon to wake up, or they will crash into the ground. Just as they reach the tall buildings, Chibimoon opens her eyes. Chibimoon calls for Pegasus, and he comes for them. Princess Serenity and Chibimoon (in her princess form) are then seen floating to safety with their own pair of wings! Later, Chibi Usa is saying good-bye to Pegasus. (I love the background music here!!!) Chibi Usa gives him a hug and he flies away. Usagi tells Chibi Usa that she will see him again. End of Season 4 ^_^
