| Well, this is it, the final season... the end of the SailorMoon saga that has filled our hearts will love and joy. I'm sorry this one is so very long, but I just couldn't do justice to it with a brief summary!! It is still too brief as it is! |
The Sailor Stars season starts off with a bang, as Nehelenia is released from her seal. She is influenced by her liberator to take revenge on Usagi, who is living happily. Also during this time, the outer senshi return and Sailorsaturn is revived. Saturn soon tells Sailormoon about her true form... Eternal Sailormoon! With everyone concentrating on her, Sailormoon can transform into the beautiful winged soldier.
Soon Nehelenia has taken Mamoru, and Eternal Sailormoon flies after him, even knowing that it is a trap. The other senshi vow to protect the princess and prince and go after her. Chibimoon soon discovers that she keeps fading away! This is because Mamoru has been taken from Usagi. If they are not reunited, Mamoru and Usagi will not be married, and Chibi-Usa will not be born.
When Eternal Sailormoon reaches Nehelenia, she is back to being Usagi. Nehelenia gives her a snowy path to follow if she wants to try to make it to Mamoru in time. The others arrive in Nehelenia's place, only to be split into pairs: each an inner senshi with an outer senshi. As they fight, they learn a little about each other's way of fighting. Soon everyone is caught in one of Nehelenia's mirrors.
Usagi goes through hardships, but eventually makes her way to Nehelenia and Mamoru. She is just in time to see Chibimoon fade out completely. She turns to see all of her friends trapped in mirrors. Nehelenia is happy to finally take revenge, but is upset when Usagi just starts crying. Nehelenia tells her that Usagi should hate her, but Usagi just says that she wouldn't be able to be lonely like her. She asks Nehelenia to take the revenge on her, but to free her friends. The mirrors all break and Chibimoon returns, and the senshi tell Nehelenia to believe in Usagi. Then Nehelenia remembers her real dream, which was to have a friend to talk to.
She disappears and then is seen back in her thrown room as a child. Nehelenia is told to go to bed. She starts to leave, but hesitates. She then turns and asks someone to sing her a lullaby, and the lady agrees to. (this shows that now Nehelenia will make friends to talk to, and won't need her "beautiful reflection" as her only friend anymore).
Soon we learn that Chibi Usa has returned to the future. We also find out that Mamoru is going to go to America to study at Harvard. Usagi is very sad about this, but she tells Mamoru that it is ok. Usagi is very sad thinking about Mamoru and Chibi Usa. She talks to Luna about it and says that she is not strong enough to be alone (if she doesn't make you cry here, you don't have a heart!). At the airport, before he boards the plane, he holds out a small gift. It is a heart shaped ring. He says that he loves her and will wait for her as he slips it on her finger. They kiss and then he leaves. As his plane flies away, there is a voice saying they want to collect star seeds. The plane that Mamoru is on is attacked...
Soon there is an attack, and the enemy is... Sailor Iron Mouse!! She attacks her victim and their "star seed" is revealed. It is not one that she wanted, and her victim transforms into "Sailor" villain (sort of like the victims from the R season after the rainbow crystal was removed) and Iron Mouse leaves. Then, the Sailor Starlights (which consists of Sailor Star Fighter, Star Maker, and Star Healer) come and attack the victim! Sailormoon does not want to hurt the person, and uses her "Starlight Honeymoon Therapy Kiss" to revert them back to their normal self. The Starlights are gone. This confuses Usagi greatly, as there were so many Sailor Senshi, even as an enemy! A music group called the "Three Lights" transfers to Juuban High School and into the girls' grade. Usagi eventually becomes friends with Seiya, who likes her. It is soon revealed to us that this group is also the Sailor Starlights.
The group of villains are called Animates. They are lead by Sailor Galaxia. The Starlights won't work with the Sailor Senshi, and Sailormoon doesn't understand why. When the Starlights finally say that they seem to be on the same side, they agree to work along side the senshi if they don't pull them down. This only lasts a second when Uranus interrupts and says they can't. She says that as the outer senshi they must protect Sailormoon from all invaders, including the Starlights.
Iron Mouse is destroyed by Galaxia, and Sailor Aluminum Siren is her replacement. Soon a little girl named Chibi Chibi is found, and she becomes a member of Usagi's household. Her mother tells Usagi that Chibi Chibi is Usagi's sister! The girls wonder if it is Chibi Usa's sister from the future, but Setsuna says that Neo Queen Serenity only has one child. In later episodes we find that Chibi Chibi transforms into Sailor Chibi Chibi Moon! She gives Sailormoon a power-up, and she now has the "Silver Moon Crystal Power Kiss" attack.
We learn that the Starlights are looking for their princess, because their home planet was destroyed. They use their disguise as humans to call to their princess through their songs as the "Three Lights." The outer senshi still don't want anything to do with the Starlights. Sailormoon is upset by this and continues to try to persuade them. Seiya sends a message through his song to Usagi, telling her how Galaxia wants all the star seeds, which will allow her to rule the galaxy. Galaxia destroyed their home planet, but their princess escaped to Earth, which is why they were here.
The Starlights begin to feel the presence of their princess. Galaxia could too, and she says that she can't take over if the princess existed. Soon Sailor Lead Crow finds out that Sailormoon has the star seed they want, and she attacks her. A bright star seed appears from Usagi (she is no longer Sailormoon). Then Tin Nyanko blasts Lead Crow to get the seed, but Chibi Chibi gets in the way. A black hole engulfs Usagi, Chibi Chibi and the star seed. Then it explodes, revealing Usagi being held by the princess.
The princess tells Sailormoon about the Holy Wars that have been happening. She says that the strongest Sailor Senshi had sealed away all the evil, Chaos, but now that senshi was trying to control the galaxy. She asks Sailormoon for her help. Uranus says she is being selfish. The princess says she believes in Sailormoon. Then the princess and the Starlights leave.
Now that the enemy knows who Sailormoon is, the girls won't let Usagi out of their sight! Usagi is at home with Rei when she looks at a picture of Mamoru and wonders what he's doing. Rei is surprised that they haven't talked, and asks how long. Usagi says since he left, which shocks Rei.
The Three Lights have a final concert, which is interrupted by Tin Nyanko. The Starlights and the senshi begin arguing over who will fight. Sailormoon says they need to fight as one. Galaxia appears, and blasts away at the princess. She eventually can't take it anymore and her star seed appears. The princess says some final words to the Starlights, and dies.
The Starlights leave to take revenge on Galaxia. Suddenly a dark energy headed straight for Sailormoon. The other senshi run to her, but it will be too late. Out of no where comes the Silent Wall and the senshi are shielded from the attack! Sailor Saturn and Pluto have arrived!! Later they are all at Rei's shrine, and they say that the planet is falling apart. The outers leave to fight. The remaining girls decide that they need to help too, so they transform and leave. When they arrive at the battle location (Galaxy TV) Chibi Chibi appears and transports them to Galaxia's throne. They find the Starlights fighting Galaxia. When she is about to destroy them, the inners take the blow. The inners' star seeds appear and the Starlights ask why. The inners say that it was to protect important people and ask them to protect their princess for them. The outer senshi feel the 4 planets fade. Sailormoon holds Mars, and says that they can't leave her alone. Mars says to be strong, and that she still has Mamoru, then dies.
Sailormoon yells for Galaxia to give them back. Then Galaxia shows her all the star seeds she has collected so far. Included is a golden star seed, the one for Earth... Galaxia says that everyone has a star seed, but only the star seed of a senshi will shine forever, and with them she can control the galaxy. Sailormoon was crying. Galaxia is about to attack when Star Fighter jumps in the way. Then there is a flash of light and they escape. The outer senshi go to fight Galaxia. The Starlights are thinking they have nothing left to fight for, when they remember the inner senshi dying for them. Then they and Sailormoon prepare to fight again.
Now the outers are fighting Galaxia, and Galaxia says that there is a way to live after the star seeds are taken. They would have to become her servants. Pluto and Saturn refuse, but Uranus and Neptune agree. Their star seeds are taken, and they begin fighting with the other two. Pluto and Saturn just take the hits. Sailormoon and the Starlights arrive to see Pluto and Saturn fade away. Then Sailormoon sees that the other two have Galaxia's bracelets on. Galaxia orders them to get her star seed.
They begin attacking, and Star Fighter fights back against them. After some fighting, the two outers turn on Galaxia, and both use their bracelets to attack her. But no star seed comes out, shocking the two. Galaxia says she didn't think anyone could not be controlled by the bracelets. She takes them away and Neptune and Uranus begin to fade. Sailormoon cries because she didn't believe in them to the end, and thought they had turned evil. Uranus tells Star Fighter to protect their princess. Then they fade away.
Galaxia says that she was the legendary Sailor Senshi who had sealed chaos within herself. Sailormoon asks why she tried to do it alone, instead of getting help. Galaxia begins to insult the Starlights, so they attack. Their attacks get stronger until they hurt Galaxia. Then she goes to blast them for good, but Sailormoon gets in the way. She says that if they are all Sailor Senshi then they should be friends. Galaxia says they aren't the same, that she is like a god. Then Sailormoon tries to heal her with the "Silver Moon Crystal Power Kiss," but Galaxia takes her sword and attacks. Sailormoon's star seed appears. Galaxia thinks back to when she sealed Chaos, and that she released the Light of Hope to where Chaos could not find it. Then Galaxia says that it didn't come back in time, and prepares to kill Sailormoon. Then Chibi Chibi begins glowing, and Sailormoon's star seed returns to her. Galaxia says that it's the light of hope.
A shadow figure of an adult Chibi Chibi gives Sailormoon more power, and a sword to fight Galaxia. Sailormoon transforms into Princess Serenity and grows wings. She tells Princess Serenity to fight, but Sailormoon just dodges Galaxia's attacks. Chaos takes over Galaxia's body completely. Then Princess Serenity pierces Chaos' wing which angers Chaos and so breaks Serenity's sword. Chibi Chibi Moon floats lifelessly by Serenity in place of the sword. Serenity hugs Chibi Chibi as she faded away. Then Sailormoon says that there is more ways to solve things than by fighting. Sailormoon becomes nude and Chaos asks if she has given up. Sailormoon says no, that she loves this world where she met her friends. Chaos remarks that all Sailormoon's friends are gone now. Sailormoon says that as long as she doesn't give up, they are always with her.
Chaos attacks, but Sailormoon is protected by her star seed. Chaos scoffs at her, but Sailormoon says that she will win, because she believes in the good that is in Galaxia. Suddenly Galaxia is seen in flowers, with long flowing hair. She says that she can feel Sailormoon's light. Sailormoon takes her hand, and Chaos leaves Galaxia. Now Galaxia is nude, too. Then Galaxia asks where Chaos went. Sailormoon says that it went into the hearts of everyone, just like the light of hope. She says to believe in everyone. Galaxia releases the star seeds back into the galaxy. Then she leaves.
Suddenly, Sailormoon is alone. She begins to cry, saying that she's sorry, but she isn't strong enough to be alone. Then everyone appears around her! Mars says that she isn't alone. Sailormoon is happy to see everyone, then she hears "Usako." She sees Mamoru with Chibi Chibi. She flies to him as tears flow from her eyes. She says his name, and he tells her that everything is ok now. Chibi Chibi vanishes. The Starlights are on the ground watching, when their princess appears again.
Later, the Starlights are leaving. They say they are making a new planet with their princess. All the inners are there, and they say their goodbyes. The Starlights take off like shooting stars. We see the outer senshi in Haruka's car, looking up at the stars. They talk among themselves. Then we see Mamoru and Usagi together. She asks him if he loves her. He says yes, that he feels wonderful when they are together. Then they kiss in front of a big full moon. End of Season 5 ^_^
I am lost for words to put a closure on this story. It makes you laugh, it makes you cry... both in great abundance! Every episode leaves you with a good feeling (unless it's one of those darned 3 part episodes!). Sailormoon is such a beautiful story, I can only hope that I might help others find the same happiness in it that I have. |
